RETAIL ASSOCIATE

Reports To:  Director of Retail Sales

FLSA:  Non-Exempt
Compensation:  Hourly rate
Rate Range:  $7.25/hour
 
Job Summary:

Essential Functions:
We are looking for enthusiastic retail associates to provide excellent customer service to our patrons.  A retail associate delivers customer service that offers a distinctive shopping experience and drives sales results. 

Responsibilities:
  • Excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment
  • Electronic and computer proficiency
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean & professional appearance 
Duties:
  • Meeting and making a connection with customers, asking questions and listening to shoppers' needs, then giving options and advice on meeting those needs
  • Inspiring the customer to buy, celebrating the purchase, and creating a lasting positive impression of you, the Sports Depot, and the purchase
  • Maintaining selling floor presentations, and restocking them as needed
  • Learning Sports Depot systems and procedures to enhance selling efficiencies and complete support duties
  • Handle all returns courteously and professionally
  • Responsible for achieving personal sales goals
  • Be knowledgeable of and perform sales support functions related to POS procedures
  • Develop product knowledge by reading current vendor tags
  • Be aware of current promotional events and sales
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention and inventory control and compliance procedures
  • Willingness to learn and understand merchandise and product offering
  • Restocking product before and during games
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Previous retail experience preferred
General Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 25lbs up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand for up to 5+ hours during a game
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends & holidays
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to rain and heat
